SOA become popular in Malaysia

hey guys, how's your SOA project right now? as an amateur & from right to left brain thinker of a woman, my last year projects made me like crazy...until so long time this blog had no any updating from me.

for this year i'm try to make alive this blog even i'm super duper busy women. as a conclusion for the SOA evolution at Malaysia, it had found that a high SOA adoption involved in organizations (not included the IBM, Microsoft & Sun company). that's a good news but however in education sectors like universities in Malaysia still have lack of SOA adopters. or maybe i don't know about the SOA adoption in the universities.

therefore, here i would like to invite the SOA developers/experts especially who had been involved in SOA development in any institutes of higher learning at Malaysia to have a collaboration with my team & me. it could be a good activites of sharing, teaching & learning as well as produce more powerful & usefulness SOA systems in future.

fuhh sound there have some confuse...what is actually the difference between architecture and framework??

the framework is a part of the architecture. if you have to choose either architecture or framework, i'm suggest if you like software design, architecture should be more attractive but if you love coding or implementation, a framework may bring you more feeling of achievements. ';)

Back to latest discussion..still had some doubt ..SOA..not a technology or software. it is a method/approach or concept in developing applications/software/systems.

It's all about the services where there are software components involved and design of system structure as a guide or framework for developer to build a system or application web based.

By following service oriented architecture, a computer system or software is componentized as a service. One of the most important points of service oriented architecture is interoperability; the services should be accessed from other services easily. Service oriented architecture is still an emerging approach.

Alhamdulillah...akhirnya faham juga aku keseluruhan perjalanan web services (as service provider) .

Rupa2nya betul dah la selama ni yg aku buat...rugi plak rasanya dibiar without new development compenant lain dlm web application aku tuh. Aku terbehenti cz dok pikir rumit jer camna la nak buat dgn data2 dlm XML format ni? how to attach with nice interface? how to enable consumer reading and get the data? ...hahahaha semua tu dah siapla secara basic nya...

Web service yg di claim interoperable (boleh communicate different platform & language) ni rupanya hanya boleh memaparkan data dlm bentuk XML format samada schema XML atau DTD XML. So pasal client yg mahu ambil data yg sudah kita exposed tu plak, diorg sendiri perlulah tahu membaca data2 yang diperlukan dlm bentuk XML format atau membina program lain utk translate semula data dlm bentuk coding xml tu.

Link tajuk diatas adalah merupakan salah satu tempat utk dapatkan beberapa collection web services + data yang dah di register/exposed. atau juga dikenali sebagai directory/registry web services.

Selalu kita dengar SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method sbg salah satu kaedah membangunkan system.
Dalam SDLC sendiri mempunyai banyak model utk system development method.
Antara yang sering didengari adalah Waterfall, Spiral, and RUP dan sekarang saya nak bincangkan mengenai Agile pula. Hal ini kerana method seperti Waterfall masanya begitu lama diambil berbanding Agile yg bergerak pantas dengan semua fasa terlibat sekaligus dan serasi dengan keperluan semasa.

Agile method merupakan salah satu model SDLC. Ia jenis iterative. Letak laa iteration dalam 3 minggu ker tapi jangan lama sangat.Masa ni datang requirement, coding and testing. Paling penting FEEDBACK. So kena laa release as often as possible. Tapi agile lebih menekankan komunikasi dan coding daripada dokumentasi.Bukan nyer tiada dokumentasi cuma tak perlu terlalu heavy, ini adalah kerana semua team akan terlibat semasa requirements diambil.

Mungkin x byk yg menggunakan agile di Malaysia. Hmmm..mungkin kurang sesuai bg organisasi yg besar yg lbh dr 5 org. Antara company yg dah implement agile method ni F-Secure,BeSpoke,Mediu, POS Malaysia, AirAsia

Komputer ada tanda NOT GENUINE

Utk pengguna Windows XP yang bukan original lagi (biasanya format dgn cd windows yg pirate laa)
kekdg sering terlupa nak off kan update windows dan akibanya... akan muncul simbol not genuine di sudat menu bar bwh komputer mcm gambar di bwh...

then setiap kali lepas on komputer nal log masuk akan keluar tanda seperti di bawah ini

haa nak buat mcm mana ye..nasib x baik pihak berkuasa Microsoft dtg, kena saman cz x guna yg original software diorg. Bukan nak ajar benda jahat tp dah sume org guna pirate (bg pembelajaran bkn tujuan utk komersial) sbb x mampu nak beli yg original beratus2 ringgit. Dan lagi satu PC ni kekdg da masalah hingga perlu format so x kan la sanggup nak beli cd original kan (utk student la selalunya kalo company tu patut kena beli laa) dan selalunya utk yg 1st time beli PC mmg dirog install yg original + cd windows tapi kebiasaanya yg home edition je la...nak upgrade kena beli samada pirate or original.

Tambah trend sekarang beli laptop dah x bagi cd windows sbb nak kurangkan kos...so nampak murah ckt ..hehhe bijak2.. lagi la bila terjadi sesuatu pada laptop kita nak kena cari sendiri / p format pn berani jamin la sume org guna pirate nyer la kecuali yg PC utk company2 IT yg besar2 lah kot.

Then kalo x turn off kan bhgn Automatic Updates dlm Control Panel ...bila on internet ia akan update so kalo dah habis dan kita restart semula PC maka keluarlah amaran seperti dlm gamabar diatas tadi..
Banyak caranya: get tips from here

1) buka My Computer then buka main partition/Local Disk anda (C:)
2) buka folder WINDOWS
->cari foder system32
3) cari file : WgaLogon.dll rename file ini jadi WgaLogon.dll.bak
4) buat 1 file baru : right click -> New
->Text Document
->taip nama : WgaLogon.dll
5) click "yes" selepas keluar warning :“If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?”
6) then cepat2 cari pula file WgaTray -> delete dan selepas itu tekan keyboard
->"Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Del" secara serentak
->Bwh Windows Task Manager ada tab Processes
->cari WgaTray.exe click End Process
7) Restart komputer anda. Selesai..sepatutnya x da lg tanda2 not genuine

Ya Allah fokusku kali ni bkn berhari raya agaknya...bln puasa begitu sekejap sj dtmbh dgn rutin kerja2 aku skrg yg seolah2 aku x penah bercuti..

Sejak dlm 2 bln ni kehidupan ku dah mula ditimbunkan dgn keja2 dan tanggungjawab2 yg mb bg aku agak berat dan perlukan komitmen yg tinggi. Satu demi satu kerja diletakkan dibahuku, cabaran dan dugaan. ya Allah kuatkanlah imanku, lindungilah aku dan jgn engkau beri bebanan yg x dpt aku pikul...air mata sentiasa membasahi pipiku...tp aku x bleh berterusan begini....ayuh bangun, teruskan perjuangan hidup ini...teruskan berjihad dan beristiqomah!

kpd kwn2 yg juga senasib dgn aku (yg sdg buat reseach dlm IT) sabarlah dan kuatkan imanmu...teruskan walau terpaksa berjalan dan merangkak di atas bara api yg pedih dan menyiksakan. Tp jgn lah sampai abai syariah dan jagalah maruah Islam. Buktikan kita org2 Islam sentiasa boleh n hebat! insyaAllah kekdg Allah hilangkan mentari dan mendung yg gelap sbb dipenghujungnya dia nak beri cahaya pelangi yg sgt indah.

Alhamdulillah lega rasa td dah settle p jumpa supervisor. huhuh 2 hari ni tension tahap maxima...dok wat coding2 jsp dlm netbeans x siap sempurna..

igtkan td dah nak kena campak pas ke bwh dah...huhuh teruk tol aku kali ni. masa utamanya aku ni haa rajin terlebih wat part time lain plak...even still da kaitan dgn komputer tp x membantu development prototype aku pn...haa 2 yg sv aku nak naik angin! heheheh tp td discussion n meeting kami bertiga ok je...dlm keadaaan tenang..syukur Allah yg membantu dan sume org2 sekelilingku yg bd semanagt especially mak.

lepas ni aku diarahkan bukan digalakkan...hahah da beza 2 arahan tegar!

Laptop Charger

pagi2 lepas subuh awal td aku dah bersemangat nak develop web application baru so that boleh tunjuk progress baru kt supervisor hari ni. tetiba warning sign bateri laptop aku dah lemah...charge! again x sampai power supply ke dlm laptop... kali ni dah hampir sejam agak nya aku try2 try n try codek2 n mga jap lg ok balik...tp wargghhhh rasas cam kena serangan migrain plak...mmg dah x leh pakai la ni gaknya.

then aku mula mencari skru driver nak buka CPU pc kt rmh aku plak. cz smlm da mslh RAM . mb berhabuk la tu dah lama x guna...smlm malas nak buka lg cz as aku bleh wat keja len later la benda alah ni. nah bek pagi2 lg dah kena pesoh gak gn pc kt rmh aku cz laptop dah x da bateri! aduh dah mula terasa serabut...hehhe biasa la aku byk sgt benda due date dah hampir tetiba wat plak hal camni mau x nya aku nangis. sabar ja la.

hmmm...aku pikir2 x da kesudahan gak keja major yg aku nak wat dlm laptop mmg kena kuar cari charger baru gak la..

lepas jumpa k.nurul ambil bhn keja seterusnya, aku trus ke jitra. survey sana sini last2 bek gak la aku universal notebook charger. cz dia ckp original nya RM300- 400. fuhh.. dia kata xcually yg byk kedai ckp ori nya RM120-180 sume yg bukan btl2 original. hmmm...aku nak percaya mana 1 nih. aku mmg nak guna segera ni. so aku bertawakal ja la beli yg ni cz da logik gak yg dia ckp ni..n then aku sj tanya kot2 dia bleh tlg tgkkan aku nya external hard disk dah x leh pakai ni. mana la tau bleh dibaiki lg. len kedai len org len caranya...alhamdulillah dpt dikembalikan jz data sume mmg lost la, jd cam baru balik. hmmm...rugi aku x tgk btl2 td dia wat camna n guna software pe sebenarnya. cepat sgt dlm dia ckp2 x da partition then dia kata dia dah create partition baru. hmmm...pelik plak 2 3 bln lepas x da plak kami jumpa solution ni cz ms 2 mmg x da langsung detect kt pc. 2 yg da kedai ckp dah x leh dibaiki , rosak terus!

dlm aku ckp2 tauke td kata x pe nti dia wat resit n warranty 1 bln, aku plak masa tu g belek benda len. balik sampai rmh ja tgk kt resit 2 1 week! aduhh tertipu ke pe nih. ishhh mmg x leh nak percaya org2 camni. tp x pe aku bersyukur gak cz dia bleh kembalikan xtnl hd aku nih. jz bertawakal mga charger ni bleh bertahan lama.

Ya Allah...(aku dah tarik nafas dlm nih...) sambil dlm igtn say..sabar2..aku kena kuatkan semangat, don't give up. dalam seminggu 2 ni memang aku tertekan sgt2 n sebenarkan keje2 aku ni amatlah menguji kesabaran aku+kebijaksanaan aku nak handle all the problems.

dalam kesibukan nak siapkan 1st 3 chapter, tetiba supervisor aku yg sorg ni plak suh aku buat n run 2 web application yg berlainan db using jsp n dia mmg nak tgk progress setiap hati! fuhh...mak oii mampu ker ak?
bukan pe kalo keje aku jz fokus on this job jer xpe gak...(tp ak x ckp la yg ak byk sgt komitmen len kt dia...just terima arahan n jalankan). mana x nya kt rmh uruskan hal2 family g (heheh cam la ku ni dah kawin n beranak pinak)...ye la adik2 yg dok kt kolej jap2 call sms akk tlg wat itu ini..then mak ayah kt rmh pn ak x leh nak abaikan . ye la aku bukan dok kt kolej. berulang alik...so sume tanggungan FAMA (father&mother..) yg sediakan...
then kwn sekitar...jiran2...hahahha
sabar je la
keje part time pn nak kena on gak ckt2 pn da gak income. huhuh lepas minyak kete/motor pn jadi la...mkn xpe ...posa.hahhha (rajin la plak).

dan yg kemuncaknya aku kena wat java programming for system testing (web services-SOA)!!
oh tidakkk aku sanggkaa nak kena 'bermain' dengan computer language yg da kaitan dgn JAVA nih lg dah...huhuh cam serik jer bunyi.
mana x nya nak wat ad hoc then nak install requirements (software2 n tools) pn 1 hal...complicated!! dgn kalo wat kt rmh 2 internet line so slow..adoii pening....kdg2 error! fuhh waste my time...akibatnya tido aku dah x menentu.

tp sume keje2 research ni aku xleh nak mengeluh ...tunjukkan aku ni cam maintain jer...ye la mak aku asyik x sihat jerr sejak kebelangan ni..so aku xleh tunjuk lemah...then supervisor sure la xpect aku boleh n tau wat sume ni (software engineer la konon2 nya)...kalo aku ckp lupa pn dia kan suh ak study n research it!hahah nama pun researcher...so aku nak kata pe..

haa..x pasal2 topik reseach aku bertukar jd SOA
tp x la salahkan sape2 pn...diorg jz suggest then ak gak la yg buat decision for convert tajuk research master ak ni...
mula2 ak igt benda ni mcm simple jer...jz approach framework SOA jer..kata dr.man awk bleh nyer siap dlm 1 thn. balik2 sampai skrg aku sendiri poning...bukan ak shj tp supervisor2 ak n org2 IT yg terlibat! mana xnya projek yg nak km handle ni besar sebenarnya...fuhh mau 3 thn gak la master ak ni..tidakkk!!! kata dr.huda, mcm ni punya lama dah bleh wat phd.

hmmm...pikir2 x sudah gak.teruskan tp kecilkan scope. p meeting dgn org2 IBM igtkan dah clear tp....hehhehe bertambah byk plak benda nak kena pikir n sampai x tau nak wat mcm na. makin byk info yg ak cari makin byk pendapat & cara penyelesaiannya tp dah byk x tau la plak which one the best and suitable 4 project SOA dgn ASIS ni...

sekali proposed p discuss dgn supervisors ckp ok..then explore deeply lg then construct semula...the target kena selaraskan semula. then proposed g ok search info lg there mb objective should be like this and this... then search again...again and again (looping process) and now the due date for defend dah dekat...apa tindakan seterusnya??? stop looping then nak kena wat discussion besar2an bersama2 dgn members lain and staff2 yg terlibat!

Projek SOA utk ASIS ni kena diteruskan. aku plak yg nak proposed SOA dlm master research aku, mesti da pendirian and cara tersendiri..whatever, SOA must be continue, don't stop doing the research!!

huhuh nak tau nape "diorg" mmg nak sgt2 embark SOA ni???

1. environment SOA is loose coupling
2. then mudah for integrated even berlainan platform/language/teknologi yg diguna
3. mempunyai services yg bleh beri respond kpg any request dari sistem lain
4. bleh reuse the software - xdala lg silos problem
5. so jimat la ckt kosnya
6. pantas - kalo yg nak market kan produk 2 cepatla & untung n byk
7. then mudahlah nak penuhi permintaan ramai samada dari developer or end user
8. senang nak ubah2 sistem/software yg sedia ada

sebab 2 sejak kebelakangan ni byk pihak interested about SOA...even bleh apply ckt pn jadi la..asal ada gak SOA dlm business diorg....

hahhaah hebatkan aura SOA ni...konon2nya SOA the new thing yg sgt hebat and gempak la!!! btl ker?...;)
